SI Support Team

Contacting the SI Support Team

The SI Support Team primarily provides advice and assistance with SI Template functionality and validation error resolution.  In order to assist you in an effective manner the SI Support Team will need to view the document you require assistance with, therefore contact with the SI Support Team needs to be initiated by email in the manner outlined below.  

If you have submitted your document for validation, then there is no need to email the document to the SI Support Team, you merely need to forward the Validation email received from the legislation.gov.uk Publishing system and provide a description of the issue you require help with.  

If you require support for an SI that has yet to be validated, then you will need to attach a copy of the document you require assistance with and provide a description of the issue you require help with

Non-receipt of Validation Report
Users should contact the SI Support Team in the first instance if they are have waited more than 30 minutes after submission for a Validation Report.  When reporting this problem please provide the file name of the document submitted (but not the file as an attachment) and the approximate time that you submitted the SI for validation.

Dealing with complex or non-standard SIs
Some Instruments require a numbering scheme that is not supported by the SI Template and these Instruments have to use the non-templated workflow. Users should contact the SI Support Team for advice about using the non-templated workflow at the earliest opportunity in the drafting process.  If you need help with more complex SI Template features then contact the SI Support Team for advice in advance.
