Imprinted Documents for Laying

Once the SI and any associated document(s) has successfully passed registration checks an imprinted PDF of the document(s) will be generated and this document(s) needs to be used for laying.  Users will receive an email with the imprinted documents attached but can also access these from the "Tracking" functionality provided on legislation.gov.uk Publishing.

Very occasionally a word document will fail to convert to PDF and the user will not receive the registration email and the imprinted copies will not be available on Tracking.  When this occurs users should notify the SI Registrar and / or email publishing.legislation@nationalarchives.gov.uk so that the problem can be investigated and corrected.

In certain circumstances, such as when a PDF document has been supplied or where an associated document is submitted separately from the SI bundle, generation of imprinted copies is not possible.  If this occurs, and you do not receive your imprinted copies and they are also not available on the tracking screen, you will need to liaise with the SI Registrar to arrange acceptance with the laying offices of a non-imprinted document.
