SR Registration Checks

Checks Performed by the Statutory Publications Office (SPO)

Upon submission of an SR for registration, SPO conducts certain checks to ensure that instruments are complete and include the relevant information.  These checks are not the same as validation of an SR in which an electronic diagnostic evaluation of the SR document is performed to check the document structure and that the template styles have been used correctly.  Further information about Validation can be found in the Validation Toolbox.

Please note: SPO does not check that an SR is correctly drafted, which is the responsibility of the drafting Department, but will bring to the Department’s attention any anomalies noted during the registration process.

SR Registration checks consist of a combination of automated and manual checks.
