Scottish Statutory Instrument Toolbox

Scottish Statutory Instruments (SSIs) are the most common form of subordinate legislation for Scotland (also known as secondary or delegated legislation).

SSIs can have a number of associated documents, with Policy Notes and Business and Regulatory Impact Assessments being the most common types of associated documents. Associated documents are normally only published in electronic format alongside the SSI on legislation.gov.uk.

The left-hand navigation menu provides an expandable and collapsible view of the pages available as well as access to the Toolboxes of other legislation jurisdictions.  Where applicable, users are also presented with right-hand navigation to Related Pages.

Further information and Toolboxes for Scottish legislation and associated documents will be developed in association with the appropriate Scottish authorities.  If you have any suggestions for improvements or additions to these pages, or notice a mistake, please email publishing.legislation@nationalarchives.gov.uk with details.
